Breena

Breana is an amazing young person and the first person to receive a scholarship from The Kate Sherwood Foundation.

Cassie

Cassie credits Kate with getting her through high school, providing love, encouragement, accountability and direction.

Molly

Friends - we’d like you to meet Molly, a 17 year old senior at Andover High School. She’s an amazing person with a passion for horses.

Raychel

This is Raychel, a smart, loving, senior at L.H.S. Losing her mom at the age of 9, and with dad not in the picture, Raychel has had to find her way on her own for a long time.

Clayton

Clayton is 18 years old and his passion is cheerleading and he's part of the All Star Cheer program in Keene, NH. That's where he met Mo Greene.

Mercy

Mercy moved to the US about five years ago from Guatemala. Her grandmother sent her here to live with her mom and her younger siblings.

Jonathan

Jonathan is 20, a graduate of Haverhill High School, MA. He's found his passion in art, specifically sketching and painting. You can see his art on his Instagram page: @jon_cruz091.

Tabitha

This is Tabitha, a 16-year-old student at Whittier Regional Vocational Tech High School. We recently met up with her in the Mount Washington area of Haverhill.

Leidy

We met Leidy and her two sisters on Christmas Eve. She’s the parent now. Four years ago, their mother was murdered. Leidy was 18, her middle sister was 9 and her youngest sister was 2.

Eddie

Meet Eddie from Haverhill. 18 years old and a graduate of Haverhill H.S. When he was 12, his father went to prison. Eddie has been waiting every day for his dad to be home.

Nathan

He's a sophomore at Raymond H.S. Super active student as a member of the student council, the Raymond Coalition for youth, Reach High Scholars, and the N.H.S.

Ethan

Kate knew Ethan and his sister, it's not a reach to say that their story is partly why Kate focused her doctoral studies toward understanding "trauma informed education".

Anthony

Meet Anthony, a 16-year-old student from Londonderry High School. He's had visual perceptional deficits his whole life. Not easy.

Sarah

So we just met Sarah, freshman at Londonderry High School. Right out of the gate, we knew that this kind is exactly the type of person we want to know and support.

Ruth

Ruth is a senior at Watertown High School. She's a hardworking kid who will be graduating in a month. A's and B's up and down her report card.

Jayson

Jayson is raised by his single mom who works hard. Money has been tight at home and Jayson had planned to give up his beloved sports to help pay the bills at home.

Nora and Parker

Friends – please meet Nora and Parker who are juniors at Amity Regional H.S. in Connecticut. They were in middle school when their mother and only parent passed away from cancer.
